ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Wednesday called on Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief and MNA Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence, where he congratulated him on performing Umrah and conveyed his best wishes.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman thanked the Speaker for his visit and for conveying his felicitations and good wishes.
Talking to the media after the meeting, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said his longstanding relationship with Maulana Fazlur Rehman transcended political affiliations, describing him as a brother and emphasizing that their bond is rooted in mutual respect, sincerity and brotherhood.
The Speaker said he remained in regular contact with Maulana Fazlur Rehman and that they continued to meet and consult each other from time to time.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said sincere intentions led to new avenues and opportunities with the blessings of Allah Almighty.
He said that over the past two to three years, Allah Almighty had created avenues for the betterment of Pakistan and expressed hope that, further opportunities would emerge for the country’s progress, stability and prosperity.
He said he also remained engaged in dialogue and consultation with Members of the National Assembly, adding that his efforts were aimed at promoting decisions in the best interest of Pakistan and its people.
The Speaker prayed that Allah Almighty would guide everyone towards decisions that serve the national interest and contribute to the welfare of the people.
