Popular actress Kinza Hashmi, starring in the upcoming anthology film Sherdil (produced in collaboration with Geo Films), stated that there is a severe lack of protection for girls and women in Pakistan.In an interview with Jang Digital, she expressed that distressing news emerges on a daily basis, and the government must implement strict legislation to ensure women and girls feel safe.The film and television actress urged the government to install security cameras everywhere and establish a dedicated helpline for women. She emphasized that in case of an emergency, calls to this helpline should prompt immediate action and assistance within five minutes.She further suggested that cameras should be installed in schools, with parents given access.

Responding to a question, Kinza shared, “I belong to Punjab, but I love Karachi. The people of this city have given me immense love, and Karachi has turned out to be even better than my expectations. Alongside dramas, I have now started working in films.”
She announced that the anthology film Sherdil, produced in collaboration with Sindh Films and Geo Films, will hit cinemas on October 2, followed by two more upcoming films.
Highlighting the global reach of Pakistani media, Kinza said, “Our dramas are popular all over the world and watched in various countries. There is no corner of the world where we don’t have fans. Our aspiration is to take Pakistani cinema global through films as well.”
The actress added, “In my new film Sherdil, viewers will get to see the challenges an artist faces. Pakistan has no shortage of stories; once more films are made, we will take them to the international level.”
She concluded by sharing that in the film, she will be seen playing the role of an innocent artist.
