ISLAMABAD: The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on Thursday recorded statements of 22 witnesses in the murder case of TikToker Sana Yousaf, while cross-examination of three witnesses by the defence was completed.
The court adjourned the hearing and summoned more witnesses for the next proceedings on March 17.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka presided over the proceedings.
During the hearing, state prosecutor Raja Naveed Hussain Kyani appeared before the court and presented the prosecution’s position.
Lawyers representing the accused continued their cross-examination of witnesses presented by the prosecution. The defence team completed cross-examination of three witnesses during the hearing.
According to court proceedings, the prosecution has so far recorded statements of 22 witnesses in the case. These witnesses were presented before the court as part of the prosecution’s evidence in the trial.
After completion of the cross-examination of the three witnesses, the court reviewed the progress of the case and issued directions for the next stage of the trial.
The judge ordered that more witnesses be summoned for the next hearing to continue the recording of evidence.
Following the proceedings, the court adjourned the hearing and fixed March 17 as the next date for further proceedings in the case.
