Sukkur (Bureau Report): Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh for Minority Affairs, Dr. Sham Sundar Advani, stated that under the leadership of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, the Sindh government is taking serious steps to address the issues faced by minority communities. He said that the Pakistan Peoples Party has always made practical efforts to safeguard the rights of minorities and ensure their welfare.
He said that the Krishna Mandir being constructed at the Gaushala will not only be the most beautiful and magnificent temple in Sindh but in the entire Pakistan. It is a valuable gift from the Pakistan Peoples Party to the minority community. He further stated that efforts will also be made to secure additional funds to ensure the early completion of the project.
He expressed these views while speaking to the media during his special participation in the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Krishna Mandir at Gaushala Sukkur, organized with the support of the Minority Affairs Department, Government of Sindh. On the occasion, Mukhi Ishwar Lal Makhija, Divisional President Minority Wing Sukkur Raj Kumar Wadhwani alias Raju PPP, General Secretary Minority Wing Sukkur, along with office bearers of Puj Hindu Panchayat and Gaushala Committee Sukkur, and distinguished personalities including Dr. Ashok Kumar Wadhwani, Chander Bhan, Ram Dev alias Namomal, Kesho Lal, Prakash Lal, Santosh Kumar, Dharam Pal Kataria, Hasanand Sachdev, Prakash Lal Haseja, Gurbaksh Lal, Gurmukh Das, Dr. Om Prakash Bathija, Kishore Chand, and other members of the temple committee were also present.
Dr. Sham Sundar Advani further said that the Hindu community has always maintained a relationship of trust and goodwill with the Pakistan Peoples Party because the party has stood by minorities in every difficult time. He added that the improvement of Gaushala, provision of basic facilities, and construction of Krishna Mandir aim to provide equal facilities to minorities so they can perform their religious rituals with dignity in a well-equipped environment.

He reiterated that the Sindh government has always stood with minorities, and if any minority individual suffers any harm, the government will take steps for redress. The construction of Krishna Mandir was described as an important step toward promoting interfaith harmony and safeguarding the religious rights of minorities. Participants expressed their commitment to complete the temple construction at the earliest to provide better worship facilities to the local Hindu community.
