ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan Thursday signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Islamabad to expand youth cooperation, deepen bilateral engagement, and launch a broad set of joint programmes focused on leadership, training, cultural exchange, and capacity building.
The MoU was formally signed by Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, and Kyrgyz Minister for Culture, Information and Youth Policy, Mirbek Kemelovich Mambetaliev, during a ceremony attended by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, and federal ministers from both countries.
The signing marked a significant moment for both governments as they moved toward a stronger, long-term partnership built around youth development.
Officials said the agreement reflects the shared vision of Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan to harness the energy, creativity, and potential of young people and channel it toward national and regional progress.
The two sides emphasized that youth are central to future growth, stability, and cooperation across the region.
