Karachi:(www.thenewslark.com) Report, (By Waseem Khan) Renowned singer Alamgir says he’s Bangladeshi-born but 100% Pakistani and patriotic. He came to Karachi to become a doctor, but became a superstar singer instead. He’s amazed that his 50-year-old songs are still being sung by the new generation. Alamgir was speaking at an event in Karachi Press Club, where he was honored by EMI. He said Pakistan’s love has left a lasting impact on him. He became emotional recalling his journey, saying it was Allah’s will that made him a superstar. Alamgir praised Pakistan’s music talent and urged young singers to connect with traditional ragas. Actor Behroze Sabzwari praised Alamgir’s bravery in overcoming kidney disease. Singers Hamira Bashir and Raja Bashir, children of legendary singer Bashir Ahmed, also performed at the event. The ceremony featured notable singers and artists, including Ghulam Abbas, Azhar Hussain, and Shafaat Ali.
