He is currently serving as Managing Director of Green Tourism and reinforcing and strengthening the mission of “Green Pakistan”.
Lt Gen (rtd) Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat has a brilliant career with a military background, and after serving in the Pakistan Army with his high abilities and leadership skills, he now desires to take Pakistani green tourism to new heights. He believes in economic development compatible with a sustainable environment and preserving our natural resources, and generating employment to enable coming generations to fully benefit from these.
These steps are taken under the strategic planning of the Special Investment Facilitation Council ( SIFC), which is striving to promote investment in Pakistan and to catapult national development. Gilgit-Baltistan is among the top priorities of this planning, which has a great potential for tourism, cultural, and natural development. Alhamdulillah, today, enormous economic opportunities are knocking at the door of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Tourism, hoteling, adventure services, and environmental compatibility are opening new vistas for the youth of Gilgit-Baltistan. Under the dynamic leadership of Lt Gen Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat, “the Green Tourism Movement” ensures that development must be planned with respecting nature.
Unfortunately, some sick minds are spreading fake and fabricated information to mislead people, they are enemies of development.
At a time when the country and this area are moving towards development, prosperity, countering negative and fake information, and promoting truth is the demand of patriotism.
Lt General Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat not only a successful military officer but a visionary leader. Under his able leadership Green Tourism is not only a project but also a movement, which is striving to make Pakistan an economically viable, strong, green and beautiful country.
Green tourism, SIFC, and national leadership’s planning and steps, Inshah Allah, will convert Pakistan into an international hub if tourism where development, peace, economy, and nature grow side by side.
