The lost fourth volume of Sindh poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai’s poetry and historical work on Saran, Dr. Hotchand Molchand Garbakhshani, after three volumes of the remaining 12 Sarans, has been discovered after 60, 70 years in the house of one of his late writers. Such a long-hidden news was revealed yesterday by the Folk Heritage Committee of Pakistan Arts Council Karachi in a program in memory of Dr. Garbakhshani, who researched Shah Latif’s poetry. On this occasion, the poets, writers and writers of Sindh advised the Sindh government to publish the books of great people working on the poetry of Shah Latif, to prepare a dictionary of Shah Latif’s poetry and publish them, and to put a picture of Dr. go Addressing the event, the writer, researcher and former journalist Madad Ali Sindhi said that the poetry of Dr. Hotchand Molchand Garbakhshani Shah Latif, the fourth volume prepared on Sarn, which could not be published due to his poverty, could not be found despite the passage of years. He said that Dr. Garbakhshani Latif had published three volumes at his own expense, which caused him financial loss due to non-sale, and he took heart and did not publish the fourth volume, and he was severely criticized for publishing three volumes. He was the Principal of Sindh College for two years There is no book by him in the library, nor the students know about him, and there is no picture of him in the principal’s office. The Sindh Department of Education played a role in this, the writer and poet Sher Mehrani said that Dr. Garbakhshani was the first researcher who worked on Shah Latif’s poetry on a purely scientific basis and prepared the volume. It is not known where the fourth volume has been lost. He said that Dr. Garbakhshani gave the status of worship to Shah Latif’s poetry because he used to perform ablution regularly before working. Latif was a well-read poet with historical understanding. The letters written by him and the three books and poetry in his hands cannot prove that he was illiterate. He wrote the novel Noor Jahan along with his historical work on Latif, in which he presented the history and social conditions of the Mughal period and wrote a novel that contrasts with unique traditions. The writer Prof. Ijaz Qureshi said that Dr. Garbakhshani had a great love for the Sindhi language and he wrote a letter to the Bombay University to teach in the Sindhi language. The lady said that Dr. Garbakhshani He has done a great favor to the Sindhi nation by working on Latif. He has done a great job on the folk characters of Sindh in the book Rooh Rahaan. Many of his students including Allama Dawood Poto reached great positions. At the end of the program, Professor Razia Coker told the audience that Dr. Garbakhshani had seen the lost fourth volume in the house of Karim Bakhsh Khalid in 1978, which was shown to him by his friend Karim Bakhsh’s daughter. Many years have passed. If Karim Bakhsh’s poetry has this book or not, the writers of Sindh should search for it.
