On Bangladesh National Day
I extend my heartiest congratulations to the people and leadership of the brother country, Bangladesh, on the auspicious occasion of the National Day of Bangladesh. A new ear of a very close, deep and strategic relationship has been started between Pakistan and Bangladesh. People of Bangladesh have expressed their deep love, and those Pakistanis who recently visited Bangladesh have witnessed the warmth, love, and hospitality of their Bangladeshi brothers and sisters. Both Pakistan and Bangladesh should now move forward towards strong economic and defence relations. Pakistan, in recent years, has gained enormous importance in the global scenario and has emerged as a very strong military power, as well as achieved successes in diplomatic fronts.
