Sukkur: The grand final of the Sindh Inter-Division Women’s Futsal Championship was held today with great enthusiasm in Sukkur. Karachi’s team emerged victorious, defeating Hyderabad to claim the championship title. This spectacular event was organized by the Sindh Soccer Futsal Association, featuring teams from six divisions of Sindh: Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, and Shaheed Benazirabad.
The final match, played between Karachi and Hyderabad, witnessed Karachi’s outstanding performance, defeating Hyderabad 2-0. The women players captivated the audience with their technical skills and dedication. The spectators at the ground cheered enthusiastically, expressing their admiration for their favorite teams.
The presence of Syed Kumail Haider Shah, District Lord Mayor Sukkur, as the chief guest added grandeur to the event. He was honored with a traditional Ajrak and a commemorative shield, representing Sindh’s cultural heritage. In his address, he remarked:
“These women athletes are the pride of our nation, bringing glory to Sindh through their hard work and dedication.”
He presented the championship trophy to Karachi and appreciated the performances of all.
The chief guest acknowledged the efforts of all the teams, emphasizing that every player displayed exceptional skills. Special prizes were awarded to the runner-up team Hyderabad and other participating teams.
To encourage the women athletes, the District Council Sukkur announced a cash prize of PKR 500,000. This gesture aims to promote women’s sports and inspire further participation.
A large crowd attended the matches, enjoying the performances and cheering wholeheartedly for the players. At the end of the event, the women players joyfully took pictures with the chief guest to commemorate .
