Hyderabad:The Central Council meeting of Awami Tehreek was held under the chairmanship of the party’s central president, Advocate Wasand Thari, at D-10 Palijo House, Qasimabad, Hyderabad. It was decided in the meeting that on January 18, 2025, a nationwide conference will be held in Islamabad by Awami Tehreek against the construction of six new “dacoit” canals on the Indus River, amendments to the IRSA Act, and corporate farming.
The gathering aims to spotlight the environmental, social, and economic threats posed by these projects. Renowned scholars, technocrats, and environmentalists are expected to participate in the conference.
