ISLAMABAD:Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry apologized on Wednesday during the contempt case hearing involving the Election Commission and the Chief Election Commissioner.
A four-member bench, led by Member Sindh Nisar Durrani, conducted the hearing in which Fawad Chaudhry appeared in person. He stated before the commission that he had apologized in all three cases and submitted an apology letter.
In response, Justice Ikramullah, Member Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, noted that the charge was to be framed today, to which Fawad Chaudhry sought an apology.
A commission member asked if he was making the same statements outside the commission or if there was a difference.
Fawad Chaudhry responded, “These days, you are not the center of attention; you forget others’ matters but remember mine.” The commission member instructed witnesses to mark their attendance, and the hearing was adjourned until December 10.
