Karachi:It was refreshing to see paper collage paintings executed by Artist Mazhar Ahmed and his very creative student such as Ariba Haleem, Summan Shahid. Uzma make interesting landscapes, boats at keamari. Ships and Rickshaws and people on the road.
The work was really appreciated by the guests visiting especially as they could see the intricate detailing and textures created. The compositioning and use of light was superb. The show also had works Artist Mohammed Arif Gohar showing the rural life of villages and Chakwal where he hails from.
Artist Iffah also showcased her work in red. The centerpiece with ayat ul kursi and four quls was delicately embellished in gold and much appreciated. Many art lovers and art student visited the gallery and the show continued till 10 pm. Mehreen Ilahi the owner and curator of Majmua The Art Gallery seemed busy with her guests.Artist Mazhar Ahmed seemed overjoyed that his students were exhibiting alongside him and that was his dream come true. Artists as well as the guests visting the paper collage work very unique. The show will continue till october 5th 2024.
