Karachi:- (Press Release) Instructions of Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) has implemented rain emergency.
In this regard, Chief Operating Officer (COO) Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) Engineer Asadullah Khan said that in view of the expected rains, all the staff of the Water Corporation are on high alert.
He said that all the suction machines and other machinery including dewatering pumps are on high alert by the Water Corporation following the orders of the Chief Minister Sindh and the Mayor Karachi and before the rains, 30 suction machines have been delivered to various important highways of the city, while suction machines and dewatering pumps will also be delivered to different deep areas of the city.
He further said that the Water Corporation vehicles will remain on the roads until the drainage of rainwater is completed.
