ISLAMABAD, Sep 23 (APP):Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday urged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to adopt the path of political dialogue to resolve matters, keeping in view the difficult situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Talking to a private TV channel, he said peaceful protest was a constitutional right but warned that it should not be used as a cover for any hidden agenda to attack the federal capital.
He also expressed concern that extremist groups could exploit the protests as an opportunity to attack the capital, stressing that preventive measures were necessary to avoid any untoward situation.
Responding to a question, Adviser said the detentions under Maintenance of Public Order (3-MPO) indicated that those arrested were allegedly intending to participate in activities that could create a law-and-order situation.
