KARACHI:Senior Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon organized a grand ceremony in Islamabad on the occasion of the birthday of President Asif Ali Zardari, in which Ms. Faryal Talpur attended as the special guest. The ceremony was attended by a large number of central and provincial leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party, provincial ministers, members of parliament and party office bearers. On this occasion, Ms. Faryal Talpur, Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and other esteemed participants cut the birthday cake of President Asif Ali Zardari and offered special prayers for his health, long life, national security, stability of democracy and the development and prosperity of the country. Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Faryal Talpur said that the 18th Constitutional Amendment, NFC Award, Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), giving the constitutional name of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the NWFP and progress towards constitutional and administrative rights for Gilgit-Baltistan are the historic achievements of President Asif Ali Zardari, which played a fundamental role in strengthening the federation, consolidating democracy and ensuring the rights of the people. She said that despite the hardships of imprisonment, President Asif Ali Zardari never compromised on his democratic principles. He always promoted understanding, tolerance and democratic values in the most difficult political situations and prioritized the national interest at every opportunity. Ms. Faryal Talpur said that President Asif Ali Zardari’s political insight, prudence and far-sighted leadership played a key role in bringing the country out of several national crises, for which the entire nation pays tribute to him. Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the Pakistan Peoples Party will continue to further advance the democratic mission of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto under the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Sharjeel Inam Memon said that under the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari, democratic institutions will be further strengthened and Pakistan will move faster on the path of development, stability, national unity and prosperity.
