ISLAMABAD:Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Sunday reaffirmed the provincial government’s firm commitment to eliminating terrorism while announcing major public welfare measures, including the recruitment of 16,000 teachers and the installation of clean drinking water filtration plants across the province. He expressed his views while speaking to a private television channel saying that nearly 900 Union Councils would each receive a filtration plant to significantly improve access to safe drinking water for local communities.
Addressing the security situation, Bugti said security forces were actively conducting operations against terrorist groups, adding that 91 militants had been killed during the ongoing operation.
To a question while responding, Bugti rejected the perception that elected representatives remain absent from their constituencies, calling the impression largely inaccurate.
The chief minister stressed that there should be no compromise in the fight against terrorism, describing the operation as essential for the country’s security. He said public representatives continue to engage with local communities and address their concerns
