ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazir Tarar on Sunday said the 9th Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ministerial Conference on Women serves as a key platform for promoting cooperation, dialogue and shared objectives among Muslim countries.
Addressing a cultural evening and dinner held here in honour of the delegates of the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on the Role of Women, he said Pakistan takes pride in hosting the participants of this important conference as the event not only marks the beginning of a significant ministerial conference but also reflects the coming together of friendly nations and partners for a common purpose.
On behalf of the Ministry of Human Rights and the Government of Pakistan, he extended a warm welcome to all distinguished delegates in Islamabad, adding that the conference provides an important opportunity for mutual dialogue, cooperation and the advancement of shared goals.
The Senator said the reception offers a chance to strengthen long-standing friendship, shared values and the spirit of unity within the OIC.
“Apart from formal engagements, this evening provides an opportunity to meet one another, appreciate the cultural diversity of the Muslim Ummah, and highlight the common values that bind all member states together,” he said.
The minister said Pakistan is proud to host the conference participants and expressed hope that the guests would enjoy Pakistani hospitality and the country’s rich cultural heritage during their stay.
He once again welcomed all delegates to Pakistan, expressed best wishes for the success of the conference, and thanked the participants for attending the event.
