ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Energy (Power Division) Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari on Sunday strongly condemned the terrorist attack in the Mashkel area of Balochistan, saying that targeting the innocent labourers was a heinous crime against humanity.
In a statement, the minister expressed profound grief over the loss of precious lives and extended heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families of the victims.
He said that terrorists would never succeed in their malicious designs to undermine Pakistan’s peace and stability, adding that anti-state elements could not weaken the country’s resolve through their acts of violence.
Leghari prayed for the eternal peace of the martyred labourers, the speedy recovery of the injured, and patience and fortitude for the bereaved families.
The minister reaffirmed that the entire nation stood united with the armed forces and law enforcement agencies in the fight against terrorism.
He said the nefarious designs of the country’s enemies would never succeed against national unity and the state’s unwavering determination.
Leghari reiterated that the government’s resolve to eradicate terrorism completely and ensure the protection of citizens remained firm and unwavering.
