GILGIT Chief Election Commissioner of Gilgit Baltistan Raja Shahbaz Khan has said he is receiving continuous death threats but remains committed to ensuring transparent elections.in an exclusive interview with Daily News Lark Senior Journalist & Bureau Chief Gilgit-Baltistan, Wali ur Rehman, the CEC said, “I am being threatened openly on social media with death. But I do not care. My purpose is to hold transparent elections, and I have succeeded.”

He said the recent GB elections were free and fair. Even two PTI candidates have won. I am the custodian of the public mandate. This is a debt to the nation and my duty he stated.

Raja Shahbaz said he previously served as an Anti Terrorism Court judge making decisions with his life in his hands Life and death are in the hands of Allah not humans. That is why I have been successful he added.

He said he is inspired by Imam Ghazali.A clean intention makes the destination easy. This is the secret of my success he said.
