ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister (DPM/FM) Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday emphasized the importance of effective enforcement to safeguard workers’ rights and promote a fair labour environment.
The deputy prime minister chaired a meeting of the Committee on Compliance of Labour Laws, a DPM’s Office news release said.
The Committee reviewed existing labour laws, focusing on strengthening their implementation and ensuring better protection of workers across various sectors.
The meeting was attended by the SAPM Tariq Bajwa, SAPM on Industries, Secretaries of Commerce, Human Rights, and Overseas Pakistanis & HRD, as well as other senior government officials and relevant stakeholders.
