ISLAMABAD:The Pakistan Army continued rescue and relief operations following heavy snowfall in various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
In view of the severe snowfall, the Pakistan Army has set up control centres in several areas of Balochistan, including Ziarat, Bolan, Qila Saifullah, Khojak Top, Lak Pass, Dukki and Muslim Bagh.
People stranded in snow-hit areas are being rescued by Pakistan Army personnel and rescue teams. The Army is also providing basic necessities, including food and medical assistance, to the affected people.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Army is carrying out rescue and relief operations in District Kurram amid intense rain and snowfall. An immediate rescue operation was launched to assist the local population and restore ground communication links.
All affected roads have been fully restored through the effective use of heavy machinery and manpower. Prompt relief efforts have enabled residents to regain access to markets and healthcare centres, while critical ground routes have also been reopened.
Pakistan Army officers and jawans are personally monitoring the relief operations despite extremely harsh weather and difficult terrain.
Similarly, in Tirah Valley, Pakistan Army personnel are actively engaged in relief efforts amid heavy snowfall, braving severe conditions without regard for their own safety.
The Pakistan Army remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of the public and providing timely assistance during natural disasters and emergencies.
