ISLAMABAD:Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday condemned a militant attack on peace committee members in Bannu, expressing deep sorrow over the martyrdom of four members in the incident.
Naqvi extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to countering terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said attempts to derail peace efforts in the region would not succeed.
“The cowardly actions of militants cannot weaken the nation’s resolve,” the minister said, adding that Pakistan stands united against all forms of terrorism.
