People of various walks of life paid a rich tribute to those who sanctified their lives and had shown great resistance against Japanese invaders. They called the Chinese victory against Japanese aggression a symbol of courage, resilience, and the unbreakable spirit of the Chinese to defend their beloved country. This was the 80th Anniversary of this victory, which China achieved after a long resistance from 1937 to 1945. About 35 million people died in this war. Those who spoke on the occasion, among them were His Excellency Mr. Yang Yundong, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China, Dr. Muhammad Ali Sheikh, former Vice Chancellor, Sindh Madrasatul Islam University, Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, MNA and Chairman Baig Group, Dr. Junaid, Manzar Naqvi.
People also paid rich tribute to China, which is a very close, trusted, all-weather, and iron-clad staunch friend and supporter of Pakistan.
