On Independence Day, President Asif Ali Zardari announced that 263 national and foreign personalities will be honoured with civil awards for their remarkable contributions in various fields.
The awards will be presented in a grand ceremony at the President House on Pakistan Day, March 23, 2026.
Honouring excellence across fields
The list features notable names from arts, literature, sports, education, science, medicine, journalism, and social services. It includes cricket legend Shahid Afridi, veteran actress Samina Peerzada, acclaimed poet Zehra Nigah, and former Pakistan women’s cricket captain Sana Mir. Samaa TV anchor Kiran Naz will receive the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz in the journalism category.
