Karachi: Journalist Murad Ahmed admitted to Mirpur Heart Foundation, prayers sought
Shahidul Islam Montu Chowdhury, from Barisal.Murad Ahmed, the Barisal Bureau Chief of Independent Television, has been admitted to the Mirpur Heart Foundation in the capital. He is currently undergoing treatment in the CCU under the supervision of Professor Dr. Nazir Ahmed on Ward No. 9 of the 5th floor of the hospital due to a heart attack.
Murad Ahmed fell ill at his home at around 2 am on Tuesday (August 12). He was first taken to Arif Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College (Shebachim) Hospital.
Hospital Director Brigadier General AKM Moshiul Munir, senior journalists from Barisal and senior joint convener of the Metropolitan BNP Afroza Khanam Nasrin visited him at Shebachim Hospital. Later, Assistant Professor Dr. of the Cardiology Department of Shebachim Asim Kumar and former department head Professor Dr. Zakir Hossain, he was referred to Mirpur Heart Foundation for advanced treatment in consultation.
Dainik Ajker Paribartan Editor Kazi Miraj, MM Amjad Hossain, Firdaus Sohag, Kawsar Hossain, Saifur Rahman Miron and Daily Lark journalist Shahidul Islam Montu Chowdhury have sought prayers for the recovery of journalist Murad Ahmed.
