( Karachi) : Current head of Riysat e Junagadh, Mohtarma Shah Begum, with the consultation of Royal family members, nominated Nawabzadi Mohtarma Aliya Dilawer Khanji as Nawab Begum of Junagadh.
After the death of Nawab Muhammad Jehangir Khanji,for some reason Nawab of Junagadh could not be appointed.However, after long consultations and thoughts, the family head in the larger interest of the Junagadh Cause and for the betterment of 4 million people of Junagadh in Pakistan it has been decided that Mohtarma Aliya Dilawer Khanji was given the responsibility of Nawab Begum and to utilize her best abilities for the cause of Junagadh. Former Governor of Sindh Nawab Dilawer Kanji’s widow, Mohtarma Shah Begum, has taken Nawab Zada Alamgir Khanji and Nawab Zada Zaheer Khanji on board. This decision has been brought to the knowledge of the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, all provincial governors, and Chief Ministers with a request to cooperate with Nawabzadi Aliya to take the case of Junagadh to the United Nations and other International fora. Mr. Moen Khan Naib Deewan Junagadh and Aqeel Ahmed Khan, ADC, Nawab of Junagadh, fully backed this decision.
People from all walks of life, intellectuals, media persons, and politicians welcomed this nomination of Nawabzadi and expressed their hope that, being a highly educated, capable, and talented lady, she would prove the best advocate of the Junagadh cause
