Karachi (Staff Reporter): A delegation of the Pak-China Foundation, led by Chairman Asif Haroon, met with Chinese Consul General Mr. Yang Yundong at the Chinese Consulate in Karachi. The delegation included Sindh Chief Minister’s Advisor on Katchi Abadis, Syed Najmi Alam, Senior Vice Chairman Anwar Saeed, Secretary General Muhammad Qasim, Spokesperson Major (R) Shahnawaz Khan, Secretary Information Syed Sabir Ali, and members S.M. Naeem Kazmi and Tahseen Ali.
Consul General Yang Yundong warmly welcomed the delegation. Major (R) Shahnawaz Khan introduced the members and presented a proposal on behalf of the foundation to organize a “Pak-China Picture Exhibition” and quiz competitions, which was appreciated by the Consul General.
On this occasion, Syed Najmi Alam assured the delegation of the Sindh Government’s support, including the provision of land for the foundation’s welfare projects. Chairman Asif Haroon and Secretary General Muhammad Qasim briefed the Consul General on past visits to China and various initiatives undertaken by the foundation. Member Syed Tahseen Ali also presented memorable photographs from the 2007 Pakistan Youth Delegation to China.
Senior Vice Chairman Anwar Saeed presented a commemorative shield to the Consul General. Mr. Yang Yundong lauded the efforts of the Pak-China Foundation and assured full cooperation in promoting bilateral relations. The delegation expressed gratitude to the Consul General for the opportunity to meet and for his commitment to future collaboration.
