80% of retired employees are from low-income segments
(Karachi) (www.thenewslark.com) The Retired employees of CAA and PAA demanded from the Ministry of Defence increase their pension and the current pension is not sufficient to meet the highest level cost of living. Mr. Haseeb ur Rehman on behalf of all retired employees requested that the pension of these employees is stagnant since 2014 while for the last ten years cost of living increased thousands of times. They further said that most of the employees have only this pension amount and now they are too old to do any other job. They have the opinion that due to incorrect decisions and misleading assumptions of the current Finance at PAA, for the first time in the history of PAA and CAA pensions have been divided into four different categories which is the clear violation of the laws. They demanded an increase in pension as per the Federal government’s decisions and pity retired pensioners of who 80% belong to low-income segments including sweepers, gardeners, security guards, drivers, helpers, loaders, and widows.
