Renowned Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra became emotional while recalling a cherished memory of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, sharing that he was immensely happy when she won the National Film Award.Parineeti shared that she was shooting for the film Shuddh Desi Romance alongside Sushant Singh Rajput and Rishi Kapoor when she received a congratulatory message from Karan Johar about winning the award.The actress revealed that as soon as Sushant Singh Rajput heard the news, he stood on a chair near the pool on the film set and joyfully announced to everyone that he was working with an award-winning actress.
She added that when Sushant Singh Rajput hugged her on that occasion, she became emotional and started crying.
Parineeti shared that Sushant continued to share the news with everyone on the set the very next day as well, describing him as a true friend and an encouraging co-star.
She noted that beyond film discussions, the two of them also used to talk about economics and other academic subjects. They understood each other well and were even set to work together in another film, though that project could not move forward.
