ISLAMABAD:Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Tuesday urged the opposition, particularly Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), to adopt a democratic approach and refrain from politics of agitation.
Speaking to a private television channel, the minister alleged that PTI had been involved in attacks on national institutions, saying that its violent activities and “blame game” were on record.
Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said political workers should not resort to violence, adding that adopting a democratic attitude would help resolve political issues and address differences through dialogue and constitutional means.
Commenting on the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections, he said the polls were conducted in a transparent manner and added that the people had voted for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) because of its performance-oriented politics.
