Amsterdam:The 23rd IAGG World Congress of Gerontology and Geriatrics will take place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from 5 to 8 July 2026, bringing together leading scientists, physicians, gerontologists, geriatricians, healthcare professionals, researchers and policymakers from around the world.
As one of the world’s most prestigious scientific gatherings on ageing, the Congress will provide an international platform to discuss the latest advances in healthy ageing, longevity, gerontology, geriatrics, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, age-friendly societies, digital health, artificial intelligence in healthcare, long-term care and public health policies.
On the occasion of the Congress, the Avicenna Institute, celebrating its 25th Anniversary, will continue to promote international scientific cooperation and academic diplomacy in the fields of healthy ageing and longevity.

Dr. Kemal Aydın, President of the Avicenna Institute and President of the World Ageing Council, emphasized that the Congress represents a unique opportunity to strengthen global partnerships, exchange scientific knowledge and develop innovative solutions for the challenges and opportunities of population ageing.
During the Congress, the Netherlands–Türkiye University (NTU) initiative and the vision of the World Ageing Council (WAC) will be introduced to international academic leaders and partner institutions. The initiative aims to establish a world-class platform for research, graduate education and international collaboration in Gerontology, Geriatrics, Longevity, Bio Life Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Health, Sustainable Development and Global Health Diplomacy.
