US-Israel war against Iran has jeopardized the global peace and highlighted the need of multipolar world. Unfortunately US government and policymakers became so blind, unwise in the favor of Israel that it totally ignored its own benefits. A survey shows that 43% of American people are against this war and 30% are neutral and only 23% are in favor. In Canada 60% people are against this war. US attack killed 177 school girls which is the brutalist in recent history and reminds us Israeli brutality which killed 50,000 children in Gaza and was declared “ GENOCIDE” by UNO, ICJ, OIC and ICC.
Recent American Israel war against Iran increased the importance of Russia. It has given a strategic leverage and even some analysts describe Russia as a winner of this war. Russia is gaining military, geopolitical and military advantage due to this war which has created a very bad impression to the world about the USA. The War has given a chance to Russia to have a position of key power broker in the Middle East. The war has caused global oil and gas prices to soar, increasing revenue for Russian state exchequer. With Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz, Asian countries are turning to Russia for oil, aiding Russia’s economy despite American and Western sanctions. Due to the instability and energy shocks, the Us eased sanction on Russian oil to manage global energy impacts. The conflict acts as a significant distraction for the US and Europe, diverting attention and resources away from the war in Ukraine, which will create problems for Ukraine and will further pave the way for Russian victory.
The Middle East conflict consumes weapons( like patriot interceptors) that are crucial to Ukraine , resulting in shortage for Kyiv. Russia also is a potential mediator, with President Putin having conservations with both Iranian leadership and the US officials, increasing Russia’s diplomatic significance. Russia has reportedly shared military intelligence with Iran regarding US military positions, highlighting a deepening partnership and cooperation between Russia and Iran. With its leadership under strain, Iran is becoming more dependent on Russian diplomatic support and expertise in evading sanctions. Russia has provided unwavering support to Iran, strengthening their ties in response to Western pressure.
Russia has said the United States Israeli war on Iran had prompted “a significant increase in demand” for Russian energy products, a day after the US Treasury issued a 30-day waiver allowing India to buy Russian oil currently stuck at sea.
The conflict, has left the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping passage, all but shut, with countries around the world scrambling as they are cut off from a fifth of global oil and liquefied natural gas supplies.
European Council President Antonio Costa has said Russia is the only country benefitting from the US-Israeli war on Iran, as global energy prices soar and attention from Moscow’s four-year conflict with Ukraine is diverted. The war has spiraled rapidly throughout the region as Iranian forces hit back at US and Israeli targets, as well as facilities in the Gulf. It has also slowed oil and natural gas flows through the strategic Strait of Hormuz to a near standstill, pushing fuel prices upwards and threatening far-reaching impacts on a number of industries.
Last Monday, US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, held their first phone call of the year, during which they discussed the wars in Iran and Ukraine. Russia said the possibility of lifting US sanctions on Russian oil had not been discussed in any detail with Washington, but that US actions were aimed at stabilizing global energy markets.
Following this call, Putin said Russia, the world’s second-largest oil exporter and holder of the biggest natural gas reserves, was ready to work again with European customers if they wanted to return to long-term cooperation.
Before the Ukraine war, Europe was buying more than 40 percent of its gas from Russia. By 2025, combined sales of pipeline gas and LNG from Russia accounted for only 13 percent of total EU imports. Trump said his administration would lift some sanctions on oil-producing countries to keep energy prices down – though he did not say which ones.
The shock in Moscow from the February 28 launch of ongoing U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iran has eased, and extensive Russian commentary has shifted to asserting that superior air power alone cannot guarantee a meaningful victory.
The Russian media claims that Iran is resilient and asserts strong local support for the regime, presenting the U.S. demand for “unconditional surrender” as entirely unrealistic.
If the regime in Tehran survives, which has it could be obliged to hand Moscow significant political influence in exchange for supplies of weapons and humanitarian aid.
Nevertheless, if—in one form or another—the Iranian regime survives, Moscow could try to turn the situation to its advantage. When the missiles stop flying, Russia will be one of the few countries in the world ready and able to work with Tehran.
In recent years, Tehran has taken delivery of several Russian Yak-130 trainer jets, several dozen Spartak armored vehicles, small arms (including Orsi’s T-5000M sniper rifles), and—in January 2026—attack helicopters.Contracts have also been signed for Russia to supply Iran with up to fifty Su-35 fighter jets and no less than 500 Verba man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS).
Washington’s stated goals have included degrading Iran’s nuclear program, ballistic missiles, navy, drones, and control of its proxies. The war has been escalated, Strait of Hormuz has been blocked, regime is there with full support of Iranian people and after killing of Ayatullah Khamenei by US strike, his son Mujtaba Khamnei has taken his place. It is US failure. After the war the world will further move towards a multipolar global system and Russia will have further chance to play its effective role.
