ISLAMABAD:The government on Tuesday reduced the price of petrol by Rs2.71 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs0.03 per litre, effective October 14.
According to a press release issued by the Petroleum Division, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) revised the ex-depot prices under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.
The price of petrol has been reduced from Rs395.37 to Rs392.66 per litre, while that of HSD has been lowered from Rs396.85 to Rs396.82 per litre.
The Petroleum Division said the adjustments were based on global market developments, including changes in Platts rates, premiums and other incidental costs.
