
ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Sunday said he was deeply saddened to learn that six Pakistani nationals got injured as a result of Houthis attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
In a post on X, he said, “I pray for their speedy recovery. Our Embassy in Riyadh is in close contact with the Saudi authorities and is extending all possible assistance to the affected families.”
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the heinous attack by the Houthi militia on King Khalid International Airport, calling it a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
The prime minister, in a post on X, extended deepest condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the swift and full recovery of the injured.
“Attacks targeting civilians and critical infrastructure are completely unacceptable and constitute a serious threat to regional peace and stability. Such acts of violence, which are a flagrant violation of international law, must cease immediately,” he said.
The prime minister reiterated that Pakistan stood in unwavering solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership and brotherly people.
He said that in accordance with the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement and the enduring bonds of brotherhood between the two countries, Pakistan reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and security.
