ISLAMABAD:Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Monday expressed gratitude to journalists for ending their walkout from the proceedings of the Parliament.
Speaking on the floor of the National Assembly, he said that advertisements of a television channel, which had terminated 170 employees, had been immediately suspended.
The minister further said that the management of another TV channel, which has not paid salaries for the past three months, has been asked to come to Islamabad so that the matter can be resolved through discussions.
Attaullah Tarar thanked Shazia Marri, Sehar Kamran, Senator Abid Sher Ali, and Senator Nasir Butt for visiting the press gallery.
He added that the opposition has also been included in the process.
He said that the issues had been addressed and that journalists appeared satisfied, adding that they had returned to the House to cover its proceedings.
