ISLAMABAD:Pakistan on Tuesday strongly condemned the missile and drone attacks allegedly carried out by Iran on energy facilities in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia, expressing deep concern over the loss of lives and damage to critical infrastructure, and reaffirmed its unwavering solidarity with the Kingdom.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government of Pakistan described the attacks as a serious violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and termed them a dangerous escalation that could undermine regional peace and stability.
The statement said Pakistan mourns the loss of life resulting from the strikes and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. It also conveyed strong support and solidarity with the Government and people of Saudi Arabia during this difficult time.
Pakistan emphasized that such actions threaten not only the security of the Kingdom but also the broader stability of the region, calling for restraint and respect for international norms and state sovereignty.
Reiterating its longstanding close ties with Saudi Arabia, Pakistan affirmed its continued and unwavering support for the Kingdom’s security and stability.
The Foreign Office underscored that maintaining peace in the region remains essential and urged efforts to avoid further escalation that could endanger regional harmony and critical infrastructure.
