ISLAMABAD: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on Wednesday informed the Islamabad High Court (IHC) that the contract employees have been paid two months’ salaries as per their duties according to court orders.
The court has accepted the NCCIA’s request for time to submit its response regarding the employees’ permanence.
Justice Muhammad Azam Khan heard the petition for permanence of 73 contract employees of the NCCIA above Grade 16. Director Legal NCCIA Sarfaraz Khatana told the court that the employees have been paid two months’ salaries on the court order.
The court disposed of the contempt of court petition after paying the salaries to the NCCIA employees.
The court had ordered the payment of salaries according to the duties performed by the petitioning employees after November 30.
The Director Legal said that the contracts of the NCCIA employees had expired on November 30, 2025. Director Legal Sarfaraz Khatana requested that time be given to submit the reply regarding the permanence of the employees.
The court accepted the request and adjourned the hearing on the main case. The Islamabad High Court has issued a stay order on disciplinary action against 73 NCCIA employees.
