Episode 1

Once, wars were fought only on battlefields.

Horses, swords, shields, spears. Then innovation stepped in. Cannons began to roar, the smell of gunpowder spread through the air, and soldiers stood face to face, losing their lives in combat.

Those were simpler times. The enemy stood before you, visible to the naked eye, and you confronted them with strategy as tanks rolled overhead. War had its own rules, its own ever new displays of power and arrogance.

Then times changed, and so did weapons.

Missiles arrived, rocket launchers arrived, drones arrived, modern high speed fighter jets arrived. Wars expanded beyond borders and spread into the skies. The enemy moved farther away while destruction drew closer. Soldiers no longer needed to see the enemy’s face. Just push a button, and distances would vanish.

Today, the world has entered another strange phase.

Wars are no longer fought solely with gunpowder. Technology itself has become a weapon. Its latest manifestation? Recently, the Pakistan Army used modern technology to deliver a crushing response to India’s aggression. Then America and Israel jointly adopted a new strategy against Iran weapons equipped with artificial intelligence (AI), autonomous drones, digital surveillance.

This is a new kind of warfare.

But Iran not only gave a powerful response to the world’s predatory powers, but also exposed the face of so called Muslim nations across the globe.
What a great nation! What a resolute people with lofty aspirations despite suffering irreparable losses, they remain steadfast in every way for the Muslims of Gaza and Palestine.

Surely, it is the Almighty who creates some means or another to help the oppressed. Allahu Akbar!

For the past year, another war has been raging in this same world.

This war appears silent, but its far reaching effects are no less than any catastrophe. The ongoing trade conflict between America and Canada has become a troubling example of this new type of warfare. Two nations that were once allies are now imposing sanctions on each other. Those who were once each other’s economic partners are now damaging each other’s economies.

This is perhaps one of the strangest wars in the world.

This war began neither with a cannon, nor with a missile, nor with any advanced AI technology. Yes! The spark of this war ignited from a weapon that seems very ordinary a piece of paper.

But a few lines written on that paper have proven to be no less than an economic bomb dropped on global powers.

These very lines brought two close allied nations to the brink of a trade war — a war whose effects may now extend beyond a few countries to impact the entire global economy. Factories are closing, jobs are disappearing, and the common man is paying the price of this war.

But the real question remains the same as the one arising in your mind…

What was written in that “paper bomb” that brought two of the world’s major economies face to face? Were they just a few words, or was there some grand conspiracy behind those words? Is this merely a trade dispute, or something bigger?

In the next episode… read those very words of that paper which turned friends into enemies.
