SUKKUR, MIRPUR KHAS PRESS CLUBS AND SUKKUR UNION OF JOURNALISTS GETS GRANTS FROM SINDH GOVT.

Karachi :  Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon handed over annual grants cheques to Sukkur, Mirpur Khas Press Clubs and Sukkur Union of Journalists. The provincial minister presented Rs. 5 million each to the Sukkur Press Club, Mirpur Khas Press Club and Sukkur Union of Journalists. The check of Sukkur Press Club and Sukkur Union of Journalists was received by PFUJ Finance Secretary Lala Asad Pathan, President SUJ Saleem Sahito and President Sukkur Press Club Shahzad Tabani.  President MirpurKhas Press club Mr. Nazeer Panhwar, Mr. Atif Baloch General Secretary, Shaukat Panhwar and  Wahid Pehlwani members Governing Body received the cheque for Press Club Mirpurkhas. On this occasion, Secretary Sindh Information Department Imran Atta Soomro, Director Admin Muhammad Yusuf Kabooro, Regional Director Information Mirpur Khas Hizbullah Memon, Director Press Information Syed Hasan Asghar Naqvi and others officers were also present. Sharjeel Inam Memon while speaking on the occasion said that the Sindh Government is taking measures to ensure providing the facilities in all press clubs of the province, adding that resolving the problems of journalists is among the priorities of the Sindh Government. Apart from the press club, he added that the government is also extending full cooperation to journalist’s organizations so as to ensure the welfare of journalists. He said that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has directed the Sindh government to solve the issues of journalists. He said that Pakistan People’s Party had always introduced policies for the promotion of independence of media and for the welfare of media workers.
