Greenwich University launched its School of Banking and Finance on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Greenwich University Campus. The School of Banking & Finance aims to nurture competent individuals, equipped to contribute to country’s economic progress.
The University is offering bachelor’s and master’s program in Banking, Finance and Financial Technology. Besides this, tailor made professional development program, and corporate training for the corporate sector is on the cards while exclusive scholarships will be offered to the banking & financing professionals.
The launch ceremony commenced with recitation from the verses of Holy Quran and moved on to elaboration of the salient features of School of Banking & Finance.
Addressing the audience, Ms. Seema Mughal, the Vice-Chancellor of Greenwich University said that the school of Banking and Finance will enhance professionalism, productivity, and capability of banking talent. We aim to transform the banking education landscape by developing relevant, practical, and innovative courses at all levels. She appreciated the sincere efforts and dedication of Dr Sirajuddin Aziz in developing the quality and experiential learning-based curriculum for the School of Banking and Finance.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Sirajuddin Aziz, a renowned banker, published author, and a visionary scholar, highlighted the importance of quality human resource in the banking sector. He emphasized that the current dearth in banking and finance industry can only be mitigated through quality higher education. He lauded University’s efforts in launching the School of Banking and Finance, a pressing demand of the current era.
The event was largely attended by the diplomatic corps, heads from the banking and finance sector, representatives from various and national and multinational sector companies.
The programs will commence from Fall 2022 semester, beginning from the 2nd week of October 2022.
