KARACHI: Former Indian Test cricketer Harbhajan Singh has lauded Pakistani skipper Babar Azam for his exceptional batting skills and has said that he will be one of the legends of cricket in the future. Harbhajan’s comment came when he was asked by a journalist if he sees Babar making it to the Fab Four list. At the moment, former captains Kohli, Joe Root, Steve Smith, and current New Zealand captain Kane Williamson make up the Fab Four. Cricket fans have dubbed these cricketers the “Fab Four of World Cricket” because of their ability to win matches and score consistently throughout formats. Babar has shown similar indicators early in his career, prompting calls that he may be a member of the group. While it may be a little early to draw a verdict in this discussion., the former off-spinner stated that Babar has the potential to conclude his career as “one of cricket’s legends.” “I think it is a bit too early to say if he can be in the Fab 4. I don’t even know who is in the Fab 4. But Babar definitely has the quality, and he is a proper batsman with so much confidence and technique. Going forward, he will be one of the legends of cricket. “But now it’s too early to put him in any league. Let him play and keep on scoring more runs and winning games for his team. And talent-wise, he is no less than anyone else,” Harbhajan told Sportskeeda.
