Aga Khan University organize Health Camps in 40 Super High Risk Union Councils

Karachi:The Aga Khan University (AKU) with the support of National & Provincial Emergency Operation Cells (EOC) is organizing Health Camps in 40 Super High Risk Union Councils (SHRUCs) during the Sub-National Immunization Days (SNIDs) from June 7 to 13, 2021. The 40 declared Super High-Risk Union Councils, Polio reservoirs from Sindh (8), KP (18) and Quetta block (14) with estimated population of around 3.0 million and 574,000 under five-year children. These Health Camps have been arranged in most marginalized populations in SHRUCs to provide OPD for the common ailments with provision of essential medicine for both women and children under five years of age in specific. Camps also provides Essential Immunization for all antigen to eligible children, TT vaccination to women with Ante Natal Care & Post Natal Care treatment, Provision of IPV vaccination to children, Coverage of Zero dose children and due/defaulters, Treatment of children with severe acute malnutrition, Provision of RUTF, Multi- micronutrient/ IFA supplementation for pregnant and lactating women and Gift items for kids. Till date, 240 health camps have been established across Pakistan and over 60,000 patients including both mother & children been provided health services.
